This journal is here to communicate with the readers of Painfultruth.org and keep you updated on news related to our mission. We also want to share news with you on other rescue efforts, abuse and neglect cases and laws that pertain to animal rights. This area of the site also  serves as a place for rescuers and those who support rescue efforts to socialize and stay connected.

Meet the Authors

Courtnee - Creator and owner of Painfultruth.org. Courtnee spends much of her spare time working with rescue efforts for dogs. Courtnee focuses on death row dogs and Weimaraner rescue. She sees the large picture of the devistation of homeless animals in the United States and encourages others to get involved to make a difference. It is heartbreaking and overwheling at times but the rewards are precious. One can choose to look at the big picture and feel helpless or you can do what most that rescue have learned to do. You can not save them all but you can save them one by one until there are none.  Death row animals are killed most of the time because of space in the shelter. Estimates state that 1 out of 7 animals make it out of a shelter alive. How can we live with that statistic? Go grab a death row animal from your local shelter today and give them the time they need to find their forever home. You would be amazed at your strengths that you thought were your biggest weaknesses.
